Nursing Salary In Philippines

Philippines is Asian country which have population around 88,1 millions was produce a large of Nurses in the world so thats way Philippines is one of huge exporter of human labor and one reason why the Philippines is a top supplier of nurses in the world is that it produces skilled nursing graduates who can speak good English.

Most of people enrolling to nursing school because nurses is great job for their future who will lead welfare and survive more than other professional when they go abroad, especially in Middle East, UK, and the last destination is USA. Nurses in Philippines getting low salary and may be they will paid between 169 dollars in the most cities, but the rural area is less then even merely got salary between 75 till 95 dollars a month, but when Philippines nurses going abroad they will getting salary from 3,000 to 4,000 U.S. dollars a month.

This is make Nursing College in Philippines to become known and most popular in Philippines Today compared with other University or other general college. It is surprise that doctor even specialist doctor in Philippines have also been enrolling in Nursing school Nursing School to take advantage of immigration visas offered to nurses who apply to work in the United States. Doctors in the Philippines earn an average income of 300 to 800 dollars a month, a pittance compared to the salary of a nurse in the United States or Europe.

More than 100,000 filipino nurses left their country to seek good job opportunities and According to the Department of Health, 85 percent of the country’s total number of licensed nurses are to be found in the hospitals of other countries. The Government figures report that 2,908 Filipino nurses left for 21 countries in the first quarter of 2002. In the previous year, 13,536 nurses left for 31 countries.

According to Maria Linda Buhat, president of the Association of Nursing Service Administrators of the Philippines, says nurses go overseas because of the low salary at home, lack of professional opportunities, adventure, family ties, citizenship and health reasons.

we cant blame phil nurses to go abroad because of the low salary that we have for them here, especially those graduates from a low income family na yun lang ang inaasahan. Hope our government will see some remedy regarding this problem, stop corruption! please....
